April Olympus TBR

As I had a great month in March and wanted to not have a lot of compulsory reading, I decided to only have 6 rolls and stop there. However, last month I didn’t read two of my books, and I don’t see myself reading them soon, so I decided to put them back on my unread shelf and add two rolls to this month Olympus TBR. In the end, it makes me have a total of eight rolls.

Book 1

God: Ares

Prompt: Read a book from a male author

Pick: The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan (publisher: Puffin)

Why: Next book in the Heroes of Olympus series.

Book 2

God: Half God

Prompt: Pick a book in the title box

Pick: “Passe-moi le Champagne, j’ai un Chat dans la Gorge” by Loïc Prigent (publisher: Grasset)

Why: I have this book (signed) for 2 years now, and I think it’s good to draw it.

Book 3

God: Artemis

Prompt: Read a book from a female POV

Pick: Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert (publisher: Piatkus Books)

Why: Last book of the series; I cannot wait to dive into it. Those girls are iconic!

Book 4

God: Monsters (Hesiodic Cyclopes)

Prompt: Read a bright cover book at night while listening to the sounf of thunder

Pick: You and Me on Vacation by Emily Henry (publisher: Penguin UK)

Why: It’s an ARC, and the release date is the 8 July for this edition. However, another edition of this book called People We Meet on Vacation, published by Berkley Books, is released on 11 May.

Book 5

God: Half-god

Prompt: Pick a book in the title box

Pick: Home Body by Rupi Kaur (Publisher: Simon & Schuster)

Why: It’s a pick, so I cannot change it, but it’s a good thing as I hesitated to read it for the Bookoplathon last month.

Book 6

God: Start

Prompt: read any book

Pick: Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo (publisher: Orion)

Why: The second book of the duology King of Scars and the last book of the Grishaverse for now.

Book 7

God: Hera

Prompt: Read a book you think will have a betrayal

Pick: Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley (publisher: Henry, Holt and Co.)

Why: When I saw this book, I loved the cover but was afraid to read it. However, it’s the spring YA pick for the Reese Witherspoon Bookclub, and I knew that I need to read it.

Book 8

God: Hephaestus

Prompt: Read a science fiction

Pick: The Rearranged Life of Oona Lockhart by Margarita Montimore (publisher: Gollancz)

Why: Sci-fi isn’t my favourite genre, but this book looks okay for a beginner.

Those are the eight books that I will read for April, which equal 3,037 pages. This stack is even as I have three big books (>400 pages), two really short ones (<200 pages), and three average ones. I am happy with it, especially that I will continue three series and finished two of them, and I will read an ARC. I am so pleased by it!!

Don’t hesitate to share the books that you want to read this month or give your thoughts about these books if you have already read them.

Liz.
