Summary

An old-fashioned London Hotel is not quite as reputable as it makes out… When Miss Marple comes up from the country for a holiday in London, she finds what she’s looking for at Bertram’s Hotel: traditional decor, impeccable service and an unmistakable atmosphere of danger behind the highly polished veneer. Yet, not even Miss Marple can foresee the violent chain of events set in motion when an eccentric guest makes his way to the airport on the wrong day…

Review

Like always, I loved this book even if it surprised me. I never read this book before today; however, I watched it a lot of time. I decided to read it so I can finally understand everything, but I discover that the book is entirely different from the TV show.

I had an uneasy feeling about Bertram’s Hotel, everything was too perfect. Also, all the characters were so strange, it didn’t help to suppress this feeling.

It was unusual to not have miss Marple as a prédominante point of view, but a lot happens without her, and most of the information you get comes from outside the hotel. I am so fond of her, but it’s so sad that some characters depreciate her just because of her look before they understand that she is so useful for them.

I cannot wait to read another Agatha Christie’s novel.

Liz.
