  • I was so mad at the end of the book. I just wanted to scream; she was so badly treated by everyone, but how her family treated her was clearly the worst. I tried to keep the book intact, so I didn’t throw it against a wall, but the envy was there.
  • At some point, I cried as it was horrible. The way it was written made me struggle to breathe; I felt so oppressed. I just wanted to hug her, and seeing her fight was the best to read.
  • After reading this book, I put my Britney Spears playlist and just wanted to read in the street. I felt empowered like every time I read a memoir written by a woman.
