Analyse | Olympus TBR game 2022

Hello bookish friends,

We are nearly at the end of January, and I finally pushed myself to do this post. The problem was that I wanted to avoid seeing how I had done game-wise, as some months in 2022 were harsh. However, I always wanted to know how this TBR game helped me to read and how I could stick to the TBR I created at the end/beginning of the month.

So let’s see how I have done!

Gods and Goddesses

First and most important, the spaces I lend on when rolling the dice. I was surprised by the results as I didn’t think I fell that much in this place during the year. I would have bet on other gods/goddesses without doubts, but we can’t go against stats.

The top three gods/goddesses:

  • 1st place: Hestia (8 times)
  • 2nd place ex aequo: Hades/Demeter/Hermes (5 times)
  • 3rd place ex aequo: Aphrodite/Ares/Poseidon/Artemis/Titanomachy (4 times)

How much time have I changed my number of rolls during the year?

I took a basis of five rolls per month which means that I needed to read at least five books, even if they were not part of the initial TBR, to say that I succeeded that month. I didn’t change that number a lot except for three months: February, as it’s a short month; July, as I wasn’t really there mentally; and December, as I wanted to celebrate the end of the year and I was in a good mood.

How many books of my initial TBR did I read?

I read the total of my initial TBR for three months: January, March and April. However, all the other months are incomplete, I read some, but that’s all, or I read one of the books during another month. As always, there is an exception: June, when I didn’t read any books of my initial TBR.

Salmon: books read/white: books I didn’t read

In conclusion, these analyses helped me to see that I did well in 2022, even if I thought not due to my mental health. Now, I’m kind of proud of myself and ready for the rest of 2023. I just changed some elements in my game, as now I don’t have any initial TBR and just the prompt. Less stress and more enjoyment!

See you soon,
