Okay, so September was strange as I read books, but I don’t have the feeling of having read any. Also, yet again, I didn’t read all the ones on my Olympus TBR. Moreover, after two consecutive months of readathons, I wanted a manageable Olympus TBR. So I decided to stay at five rolls and to choose medium-sized books. I don’t have a lot of pages, but it will help me reach my aim without being stressed as the change of season has a lot of impact on my mental health.
Let’s start with my Olympus TBR!
OLYMPUS TBR
Prompts for October

The rolls

Roll 1 (6)
God: Hephaestus
Prompt: Read a hardcover
Pick: I’m Glad my Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy (publisher: Simon & Schuster)
Why: I didn’t read any non-fiction last month, and truth be told, I missed it. So I chose to read this one because I’m so interested in it and I heard many good things about it.
Roll 2 (16)
Olympus
Prompt: Read a book from a specific TBR
Pick: Cat Among the Pigeons by Agatha Christie (publisher: HarperCollins)
Why: I chose to pick a book of my Agatha Christie TBR. this one is set in an English boarding school for girls, so it totally matches the season.

Roll 3 (11)
God: Hermes
Prompt: Read a recent purchase
Pick: So This Is Ever After by FT Lukens (publisher: McElderry Books)
Why: This is one of the last books I bought. I wanted an easy one as I have others that will be difficult for me to read.
Roll 4 (11)
God: Hermes
Prompt: Read POC rep
Pick: Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia (publisher: Jo Fletcher)
Why: Finally, I’m choosing this book after two years of break. I hope that I will finish it this month.

Roll 5 (7)
God: Ares
Prompt: Read a thriller
Pick: The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley (publisher: William Morrow)
Why: I wanted so much to read this one last month, but as I had already read The Paris Apartment, I decided to wait for a little before reading this one.
Those are the five books I will read for October, equaling the small amount of 1,581 pages. As I won’t participate in any readathon, I will read with a little more leisure and without “pressure”.
Don’t hesitate to share the books that you want to read this month or give your thoughts about these books if you have already read them.
Liz.
