Hello everyone,
This month was the second part of the Magical Orilium readathon created by Book Roast (her channel.) The first part was the Spring Equinox which happened in April. It was already a good time, and here was the second semester of the Autumn Equinox.
You can find how I have done for Spring Equinox here
The concept
For this Autumn Equinox, you need to take exams in subjects, but this time each of them has three prompts. Each prompt corresponds to a level of exams: Ordinary (O), which is the lowest level, Qualified (Q), and Distinguished (D), which is the highest one.
If you need an O, you only read one book; if it’s a Q, you need to read two, and for a D, you need to read the three prompts of the subject.
For example, if you choose the calling of a healer, you have three subjects: Elemental Studies, Alchemy, and Restoration.
- For Elemental Studies, you only need an Ordinary, which means you need to read only the book corresponding to the prompt of the Ordinary exam.
- For Alchemy, you need a Qualified, meaning you must read two books. The first will correspond to the O prompt and the second to the Q one.
- Lastly, for Restoration, you need to read three books that correspond to the Ordinary, Qualified and Distinguished prompts.
You can also participate in quests that are available on Google Drive and can be given on different social media.

The books
Finding the books for this part of the readathon was easy, even if I changed them throughout the month.
To recapitulate, I chose the Story Weaver path, meaning I needed to read six books to pass the Autumn Equinox semester. I only had three subjects: Inscription, the easiest as I only needed to have an Ordinary, which is only one book, then Psionics & Divination, for it I needed to have a Qualified which means two books to read and last Lore for which I needed to read three books I needed a Distinguished.
Here is a graphic with the courses, the corresponding prompts, and the books I read for them.

I also have done some quests that were available on the drive. I wasn’t prepared to have done that many, but I’m happy as it gives 50 more points for my Guild Tiers and with the 50 points I have since I finished the semester, I’m now an assistant.

My experience
It’s always a pleasure to do this readathon, even if I don’t do the real RPG part of it. However, as there is an actual guideline during all of it, you know why you are doing it. I can’t imagine how much time G. took to create all of it.
Next month, it will be the Bookoplathon, another of my favourites; I can’t wait for it. I like doing those readathons as you surpass yourself. And you, have you already participated in one readathon? Or do you want to do it? Which one?
If you have any experience with this kind of readathon, don’t hesitate to share it in the comment.
Bye, bye
Liz.
