I thought February was the worst month, but let me tell you, it wasn’t. June was a horrible month for me as my mental health wasn’t (and still is) not good at all. As a result, I struggle to read, post and just make my everyday to-do list.
Due to that, I decided only to pledge four books for July, but I promise nothing; I may see success or not, depending on my mental health. However, one rule for this month: if I want to privilege mood read, I will do it!
Also, I don’t have any readathon this month; I only need to read the June book for the Cliterature Book Club (Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by Ashley Herring Blake) before the 13th of July, which is the livestream day.
Let’s start with my Olympus TBR!
OLYMPUS TBR
Prompts for July

The rolls

Roll 1 (13)
Goddess: Demeter
Prompt: Read a book with an evolution
Pick: Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree (publisher: Cryptid Press)
Why: I have wanted to pick this book for a long time, so as the main character decided to change her job, it’s a clear evolution for them.

Roll 2 (17)
Titanomachy
Prompt: Read a book that is more than 450 pages
Pick: Jade City by Fonda Lee (publisher: Orbit)
Why: I started it last month and didn’t finish it as my mental health wasn’t there, and even as a mood read, I didn’t choose it. So I hope I can finish it in July, it’s a 495, and I only have 290 pages to read.

Roll 3 (18)
Half-God
Prompt: Read a book from the title pot
Pick: The Fine Print by Lauren Asher (publisher: Piatkus)
Why: I drew it, but I will say that I’m quite happy with it as it will be the August book club pick for the Cliterature.

Roll 4 (4)
Goddess: Hestia
Prompt: Read a book with a library
Pick: The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams (publisher: HarperCollin)
Why: I’m simply drawn to this book, and there is a local library, so only positive points for it.
Those are the four books I will read for July, equaling the small amount of 1,449 pages. I’m happy with that amount as it’s realistic for this month. I don’t know how I will be, so I don’t want to do too much and not be able to reach my goal.
Don’t hesitate to share the books that you want to read this month or give your thoughts about these books if you have already read them.
Liz.
