Adam Mulvaney lives a double life. By day, he’s the spoiled youngest son of an eccentric billionaire. By night, he’s an unrepentant killer, one of seven psychopaths raised to right the wrongs of a justice system that keeps failing.
Noah Holt has spent years dreaming of vengeance for the death of his father, but when faced with his killer, he learns a daunting truth he can’t escape. His father was a monster.
Unable to ignore his own surfacing memories, Noah embarks on a quest to find the truth about his childhood with the help of an unlikely ally: the very person who murdered his father. Since their confrontation, Adam is obsessed with Noah, and he wants to help him uncover the answers he seeks, however dark they may be.
The two share a mutual attraction, but deep down, Noah knows Adam’s not like other boys. Adam can’t love. He wasn’t born that way. But he refuses to let Noah go, and Noah’s not sure he wants him to.
Can Adam prove to Noah that passion, power, and protection are just as good as love?

Review
This book is so easy to dive into it. I was so hooked from the beginning to the end that I read the book in one sitting.
The plot is well-balanced between the romance, the steamy scenes and the backstory.
For the romance, you have an insta-love emphasised by Adam’s psychopath side. But, for once, I wasn’t bothered by it as it’s part of the character, and it was believable.
The steamy scenes were very steamy, and you don’t wait a lot to have the first one. The only thing was using the word ‘breed,’ like I don’t like it at all, but I could do with it as it wasn’t overused.
The backstory was hard to read sometimes as even if you don’t have any details, as the author concentrates more on the romance, you have enough clues to understand what happened to one of the characters. Also, the way the character lives the revelations and the post-traumatic is so believable as nothing is magically healed, as we can see in other books.
I loved the interactions between the brothers. They have a bond here, even if they have a certain degree of psychopathy. But let’s be honest, I was a little lost between them initially, but now I only want to read the other book to discover them.
I don’t know why but I was sure we would see some blood, like duh, but you don’t have a lot. Most of the kills are told and not shown, except the last one.
I can’t wait to continue the series, but now I need to wait for the unpublished ones, as yeah, I read all the ones available in one week.
Liz.
