April’s Mini-reviews

In April, you have three books with mini-reviews: books 2 and 3 of a comic series and book 4 of a manga series.

Skyward II: Here There Be Dragonflies by Joe Henderson (illustrated by Lee Garbett and coloured by Antonio Fabela)

  • There is no need for the love triangle; it comes from nowhere and feels like it’s just here to create a perturbation in the romance.
  • I was a little lost at some moments of the story.
  • That cliffhanger isn’t legal

Skyward III: Fix the World by Joe Henderson (illustrated by Lee Garbett and coloured by Antonio Fabela)

  • I found it an excellent ending to this series. However, I am happy to not have another book because it feels like it only fits a short number of volumes.
  • I liked the romance but wasn’t a fan of the last pages. I understand it, but I don’t like it finished like that.

SpyxFamily vol.4 by Tatsuya Endo

  • I find the presentation of the family a little too long. Even if some events are happening at the same time.
  • I’m afraid it will be a series that I will be DNFing in the end. As for now, yeah, I like the characters, but that’s all.
  • I like the drawings under the dusk jacket, especially the one with this big dog but wet. I laugh so much seeing the drawing.

See you in another post!

Liz.
