Hello bookish people,
How to say that? This week was horrible. I struggled with all aspects of my life, so I didn’t do a lot this week. So I don’t have a lot to say except that I don’t want to have a week like that in the future. I was one where I didn’t want to do anything, and at the same time, I wanted to do something, but I didn’t know what. Huh!
Here is my third week of April (or my worse week of the month yet.)
DIARY
Monday (18.04)
- I wanted to go to Paris right away to work on my blog. Still, I started to work on the last details of the previous weekly diary post, and I was so into it that I didn’t see the time.
- I finally went to Paris, a little late in the day, but still, I went. I went, as usual, to Starbucks and worked on the different posts I needed to do and wrote two reviews.
- When I returned home, I started to read Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix, and I read 50% of it.
Tuesday (19.04)
- I had a beauty appointment in the morning, so I went, and as I didn’t have any breakfast before, I went to a café for a latte in a town near mine.
- Then I went back home and started to work on a jigsaw puzzle, but I remembered that I needed to buy some food and a tipi for my cat, so I went to the pet store to buy them.
- After the weather was too good to go back inside, I went to a café to eat something, as I was starving and then I went to drink a glass of rosé wine at a bar later in the day.
- When I finally went home, I had a phone call with my cousin, and I worked a little more on the puzzle.
- As you can assume, I didn’t read
Wednesday (20.04)
- I didn’t do anything except watch some videos on YouTube all day.
- In the evening, I wanted to watch a stream on Twitch, but as I didn’t like the game, I finished reading Horrorstör, which I finished very fast. I think it’s the maximum of horror I can bear, and also, sometimes, I was so lost in what was happening.
Thurday (21.04)
- I went to eat lunch at a brasserie, and I took a poke ball; it was so good that I stayed there all afternoon just to profit from the sunlight.
- I didn’t read that day as I need to finish Crownbreaker, but I don’t want to.
Friday (22.04)
- I worked on my jigsaw puzzle; I finished the border and started to complete the white parts.
- I had in the evening my art history class.
- I didn’t read that day like the previous day. I need to continue Crownbreaker, but this book put me in a reading slump.
Saturday (23.04)
- After a lot of convincing, I finally continued reading Crownbreaker instead of DNF. Like it’s the last book of the series, but oh god, the struggle. However, I’m at 43% of the book.
- I also spent some time on the discord of Cliterature (a book club hosted by Steph Loves on Youtube) and decided to read the book for May and June after watching the announcement video (here)
- I wanted to re-organise my unread books as I bought new ones last week, and some others will comes throughtout May. Still, I realised that I don’t have any more space, so I ordered a new Billy bookcase from Ikea and should receive it next week.
Sunday (17.04)
- Like the whole week, I didn’t do a lot today. Except working a little on this post.
- I went to vote as it’s the day we will know who our president is.
- I also went to the restaurant with my cousin and her family, so we went to Disneyland Paris to take them. We went to their hotel in Paris, and we ate in a restaurant near it.
MY READ

- I read Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix. Initially, I didn’t even give a Cawpile note; I just know it’s a 3 out of 5 stars. I just used it to write my review as I didn’t know what to say initially, and it gave me some insights. This book was for the Tower of Terror and the prompt of a book that spooks me out for the Magical Hopathon.
- I also continue with Crownbreaker by Sebastien de Castell, and I’m finally at 43%. Let’s be honest, I nearly DNFed it this week but didn’t do it. Like it’s the last book of a six-books series, so I need to finish it. It’s not even for the story! I think the audiobook helps a lot. I aim to finish it at the beginning of next week, and I hope I won’t fall into a reading slump thanks to this book.
I hope that next week will be a lot better than this one. I hope you like that post; tell me in the comment if you have read those books or put 👑 to help me go through this big book (504 pages) that may give me a reading slump. I need good vibes.
See you next week,
Liz.
