I don’t really know what to say about this month. I think the best idea was that I choose to be more strict with myself about whether to continue or not and to favour the mood read. I know that if I was too stubborn and continued the book I DNFed, I would have fallen into a reading slump. Also, if I hadn’t decided to change my reading order and choose to mood read at some point, it would have ended the same, with a reading slump. And I hate to be in one, so yeah! I arrived to avoid all of them.
Let’s start with the stats!
Statistics
I read seven books, DNFed one, and one is still in progress. That means that I read 2,144 pages with an average of 69 pages per day. I spent 19 days reading for a total of 29h58min, and I also listened to an audiobook for 4h19min. The average rating for this month is 4.00 out of 5. It’s funny how it’s a lot more than last month.
As it was the arrival of Spring, and I was in the mood, I read 3 romances. For the rest of genres I read, there are six of them, and I only read a book for each one. I read most of my books in physical format; I used mixed media for only one. Even if they are mainly directed toward adults, I still read a middle grade, a new adult (in progress) and two young adults. So, except for three authors, I already read at least one of their works one day.

I still don’t have any bonus card.
Here is the book I read during March with their prompts (if there is one). If you want to read a book’s review, you just need to click on the title.
Books
OLYMPUS TBR
Gallant by V.E. Schwab (Titan Books)
Rating: 🫖🫖🫖🫖
One of my most anticipated books for 2022 and the first one I’m reading. It was for Hermes with the prompt book thief.
No Words by Meg Cabot (Piatkus)
Rating: 🫖🫖🫖🫖 .5
Such a great time spent! I hope it’s not the last one in the series. I choose this book for Poseidon and the prompt island.
4:50 from Paddington by Agatha Christie (HarperCollins)
(Review available on the 5th of April)
Rating: 🫖🫖🫖 .5
This book is for Demeter and the prompt oldest purchase.
OTHER
Wild and Wicked Things by Francesca May (Orbit Books)
Rating: DNF @ 60%
I discovered this book in the bookshop and was interested in it. I started it because I was at Starbucks and didn’t have my current read. However, I’m so sad to not be able to finish it.
Bridal Boot Camp by Meg Cabot (Avon Impulse)
Rating: none
I wasn’t prepared to read this novella, as I’m not a novella girl. Still, as I wasn’t in a big mood to read but wanted to start the month well, I decided on a short story in a series that I like, and here we are with this book of 96 pages in the Little Bridge Island series.
READATHON
the princess saves herself in this one by Amanda Lovelace (Andrews McMeel Publishing)
Rating: none
This book corresponds to two very different prompts. 1) Olympus TBR: Hera and the prompt fairytale 2) Orilium Gear Up readathon: two ‘s’ in the title.
Skyward: My Low-G Life by Joe Henderson (Image Comics)
Rating: none
This book corresponds to Orilium Gear Up readathon: the first book in a series.
The Mapmakers by Tamzin Merchant (Puffin)
Rating: 🫖🫖🫖🫖
This one is the second book in the Cordelia Hatmaker series. No others are announced, which means that I finished this series. Therefore, it totally corresponds to the Final Book Support Group readathon.
IN PROGRESS
From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Blue Box Press)
Progress: 35%
I was so interested to read it, but the time for the readathon was coming, and I was feeling less and less interested. So I replaced it with Skyward: My Low-G Life. However, I still wanted to read it, so I kept it for the Olympus TBR and Artemis’s prompt: a book with a title including ‘A’ and ‘D’. So this is my last book for March; I will try to finish it by April 03rd. I’m confident, but I can now say that I can understand why the book was hyped.
I’m so impressed by the number of books I read this month compared to February. I hope that April will be the same kind of month, a fun and very productive one! Especially as I’m participating in two readathons: Orilium – Spring Equinox and Magical Hopathon. Also, the fact that I love my Olympus TBR helps a lot. I can’t wait!!
And you, which books did you read for this month? Let me know in the comment!
Liz.
