As February is a short month, I decided to roll the dice only four times. That will allow me time to mood read, which will be helpful as some books I want will be released this month.
Let’s go for the prompts!
Prompts for February

The rolls

Roll 1 (4)
Goddess: Hestia
Prompt: Read a book with realistic settings
Pick: The Phone Box at the Edge of the World by Laura Imai Messina (publisher: Manilla Press)
Why: This book is set in Japan, and it feels like a heartbreaking and heartwarming book to read, perfect for February.

Roll 2 (5)
Goddess: Aphrodite
Prompt: Read a romance
Pick: Hades by Carly Spade (publisher: Self-pub)
Why: This is the first book I thought about when I drew this prompt, and I can’t wait to read it. Also, it will be a great break after one of the books of this month as it’s only 294 pages.

Roll 3 (16)
Olympus
Prompt: Read a book from your specific list
Pick: Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ichiguro (publisher: Faber & Faber)
Why: This book is part of my to-read before my 30s list. I started this book at the end of 2021, but as it’s not a genre I’m used to read, I struggled to continue and decided to take a break. Yet, here I am, determined to finish it in February.

Roll 4 (7)
God: Ares
Prompt: Read a book written by a male author
Pick: Crownbreaker by Sebastien de Castell (publisher: Hot Key Books)
Why: The last book of the Spellslinger series is a series that I really want to finish in the first three months of the year. However, I’m not sure about this one as the previous one wasn’t a very successful read.
Those are the four books that I will read for February, which equal the small amount of 1,436 pages. I know for sure to read two of those books in mixed media (physical and audiobook), but this is still not a lot of pages. I don’t know how many books I will read too; two will be awesome, but we will see how I have done at the end of February.
Don’t hesitate to share the books that you want to read this month or give your thoughts about these books if you have already read them.
Liz.
