Hello bookish people,
This time I will talk about one box that I found randomly: Nerdy Book Box. I was scrolling on Instagram, and I saw that ad about this box. The thing that made me buy it was the book. For once, they didn’t hide which book it would be. So I knew it would be Hades by Carly Spade. I wanted to buy this book for a long time, and this box was a good reason to buy it as I would have an exclusive cover.
This box is designed to promote small companies and indie/self-published authors.
Let’s see what I received in this box!
General look of the box
In this box, we have five bookish items and a book in paperback with an exclusive look. The box is retail for $32.99 to that you add the shipping rate and all the taxes for your country.

The box in detail
The bookish items

1. A steel bookmark with its red tassel. The drawing is based on the book’s two main characters: Hades and Stephanie, with the quote: “Thousand of years can pass and I’ll never forget the mortal that brightened my heart.” This bookmark was designed by Rainbow Pop Studio (@rainbowpopstudio), and it features art by Juliet (@bxromance).

2. A black tin candle from Wicks & Sorcery (@wicksandsorcery) represents the two main characters, Hades and Stephanie. The sent is smoked vanilla, clove and honeysuckle.

3. A black masquerade lace mask with gems. It’s inspired by a scene from the book.

A blue quoted tumbler, always practical, so my cat won’t drink my drinking. The sentence says, “My book boyfriend is the king of the Underworld.” It’s designed by the Nerdy Book Box team.

5. A notepad with a drawing of a steamy scene from Hades. The artwork was done by Yasuo Arts (@yasuoarts).
The book

The book for October is Hades by Carly Spade, the first book in the Contemporary Mythos series. This exclusive edition has a blue cover instead of an orangy one. We also had a signed plate that I stuck on the book. The blue on the cover is inspired by Hades in Disney’s Hercules.

What I thought of this box?
I like it a lot as I found their helpful item. The book is one I have wanted for a long time, so I’m happy to have this exclusive edition. I would like to have the other of this series with an exclusive cover too. I will definitely buy another box if I find one appealing.
I hope you liked reading that short post, and let me know what you think of that box. Also, are you subscribed to a bookish box? If yes, which one?
See you next time,
Liz.
