Last month I struggled a little to finish my TBR as I wanted to read other books that I wanted to read, and I couldn’t begin my TBR until I read two books that weren’t on it. So I decide to change the rules of my Olympus TBR for November. I will only have five draws like that, I will have more time to read other books, and it won’t be an obstacle to tackle my TBR of this month.
I was a little sad to do that as I love playing this game, so I may do other draws during the month if I don’t know what to read like I have done for the month-long Bookoplathon in September.
Prompts for November

I didn’t use my bonus card for this Olympus TBR, so I still have the card to re-roll the dice.
The rolls

Roll 1 (7)
God: Arès
Prompt: Read a most anticipated book
Pick: Ariadne by Jennifer Saint (publisher: Wildfire)
Why: It’s a book about Greek mythology, and I’m in the mood to read that kind of book. Also, the cover is just stunning.

Roll 2 (15)
God: Hades
Prompt: Read a book with a dark cover
Pick: Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco (publisher: Hodder and Stoughton)
Why: This cover reminds me of the underworld, and it’s dark, so the best book to read for that prompt.

Roll 3 (11)
God: Hermes
Prompt: Read sets somewhere you want to visit
Pick: The Cat Who Saved Books by Sosuke Natsukawa (publisher: Picador)
Why: This book is written by a Japanese author, so I assumed it was set in Japan even if we don’t have a specific place where the action is placed. I have wanted to visit it since I was a child.

Roll 4 (14)
Goddess: Persephone/Hades
Prompt: if in autumn or winter choose a Hades’ prompt/undead or ghost presence
Pick: The Tyrant’s Tomb by Rick Riordan (publisher: Puffin)
Why: So for this one, they are searching for a tyrant’s tomb, and it seems that they are meeting him, so for me, there is an undead presence. Also, on the cover, it appears that there is a zombie.

Roll 5 (19 & 4)
Ambrosia/Goddess: Hestia
Prompt: Re-roll the dice/Read a classic
Pick: Sparkling Cyanide by Agatha Christie (Publisher: HarperCollins)
Why: This book is still a classic like all Agatha Christie’s books. And because I had a Jane Austen book, but for me, it’s too Spring-y to read it now.
Those are the five books that I will read for November, which equal the small amount of 1,676 pages. I will see what will happen this month with those five rolls. I hope that it will be a good month and that I will read most of the books I want to read in addition to those five ones.
Don’t hesitate to share the books that you want to read this month or give your thoughts about these books if you have already read them.
Liz.
