September Readathons | Week 4 (20-26 Sept)

Hello bookish people,

Thanks to the autumnal equinox, this week was hard as I wasn’t in the right mindset. I also continue my reading slump, which means I do a lot of cross stitching while listening to the audiobook.

MY WEEK

Monday 20th: I’m lazy, so I start reading in the evening while participating in Wandering Through Worlds’ last readathon on Youtube. I read the last 150 pages of my book. However, I wasn’t lazy to buy the Nerdy Book Box for October. I purchased it as they have the first book of a series I want to start, and yeah, it’s based on the Greek gods, like duh! I’m a Greek Myth nerd and proud to be one. In November, I also discovered that Illumicrate will be doing an exclusive edition of The Song Achilles and Circe by Madeline Miller, which I also buy, duh! Other than that, I roll the dices as I’m still not reading the big book, and I fall on the mood read space, AND it was a double, so I need to add one roll. I’m also accepted for the ARC of A Botanist’s Guide Of Parties and Poisons by Kate Khavari, available next year.

Tuesday 21st: I received my tenth-anniversary special edition of The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. I’m so happy the book is stunning. I love the mix between the light blue and the gold. It’s not the signed edition, but I don’t care. I have the book that’s the important part of this. I work on my blog at Starbucks. Yes, I’m going every week to change my working environment (and it’s still the PSL season.) I have finished the week 3 post, the review for The Woman in the Purple Skirt by Natsuko Imamura. Sorry for this post; I wasn’t inspired, so that’s why it was published later than usual. I don’t think I will read this evening, but we will see.

Wednesday 22nd: Aaand I didn’t read yesterday! I tried to read my mood read, but I couldn’t concentrate, so I decided to roll the dice for the last time as I had a double for my sixth roll. I fall on cute, and I couldn’t be happier as I choose an easy young adult romance, but I will listen to the audiobook this time. As I have the book, I read 55 pages; like always, while I listen to it, I continue my cross-stitching. I didn’t do a lot as it was the autumnal equinox, which hit hard on me this year.

Thursday 23rd: I finished the bottom part of my cross-stitching pattern while listening to my audiobook. I read 84 pages doing it. My goal is to finish this book tomorrow and start my mood read on Saturday. I went to buy vitamins as I was still not well and mostly exhausted. I then watched a stream on Twitch, but I fell asleep in front of it. I also went to do some errands where I bought a book in French L’Inconnue de la Seine by Guillaume Musso. It wasn’t my purpose, but the story looks interesting. It’s a girl that is found in the Seine, but she doesn’t have any memory. When researchers are done to see who she is, they discover that she is Milena Bergman, but the problem is that she is supposed to be dead in a plane crash a year prior.

Friday 24th: I have written the review that was supposed to be online today at 12:30pm but couldn’t as I didn’t write it. Then I took all the pictures I needed for Instagram. However, today, my goal is to finish my cute book and continue the windmill on my cross-stitching pattern. I also have a meeting with my history of art group. It’s the first lesson of the year, and we are doing Greek mythology, and I am so pumped by it.

Saturday 25th: I needed to read my mood read to midpoint minimum as I wanted to finished it tomorrow maximum. however, I’m not sure if I want to finish it or DNF it. I start by reading the book physically but I struggled so I switch to the audiobook and the same happened here. Sadly, I think this book isn’t for me.I needed to read my mood read to midpoint minimum as I wanted to finish it tomorrow maximum. However, I’m not sure if I want to finish it or DNF it. Sunday 26th: I didn’t read as I decided to DNF my mood read, and otherwise, I spent the day at one of my friend’s house for her birthday. So I will start my big book tomorrow.

THE BOOKS

The Mystery of Mrs Christie by Marie Benedict: This is the sixth book and throws for the bookoplathon where I fall on mood read. I thought it was the last, but I needed to do another roll as I had a double. For the Magical readathon, it’s for the Tower of Rumination prompt, which was to read a 5 stars prediction and spoiler alert: I DNF it.

I Love You So Mochi by Sarah Kuhn: This is the seventh and last throw where I fall on the cute space. For the Magical Readathon, it corresponds to Novice Path Entrance, where I needed a book with a map.

That’s all for the fourth week of September and see you the same day, next week for my last week of those readathons, I only have one goal which is to read the big book that I postpone for one week but that I need to read as it’s an ARC. So it will be published at the beginning of October.

Bye, bye,

Liz.
