Last month, I liked the fact to have six rolls, so I am continuing with it. Also, this month as you have read in the title, it’s the Whatever-You-Want-A-Thon(announcement video here) by @bookbrowsing; it will be during the whole month. So on my June Olympus TBR, I tried to put as many books as I can that can be used for the prompts of this readathon. I think I have done an excellent job!
Also, I have a Bonus Card which is change a book!
OLYMPUS TBR

Book 1
God: Athena
Prompt: Read a book with a good description
Pick: One Last Stop by Casey Mcquiston (publisher: St. Martin’s Griffin)
Why: This book is released on the 1st of June, and I am so excited to read this second book from this author. I love her first one and cannot wait to discover about August and Jane.

Book 2
Monster: Half-God
Prompt: The title pot
Pick: Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor (publisher: Little, Brown Books for Young Readers)
Why: Is it the first book of a series? Yeah! Do I have enough series in progress? Also, yeah! I wasn’t prepared to draw this book, but I am still happy to read a book from Laini Taylor.

Book 3
God: Lernaean Hydra (Monster)
Prompt: Read a book with a number of chapters which is a multiple of 9
Pick: The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow (publisher: Orbit)
Why: I wanted to read this book for a long time, but I always hesitated. However, as I am doing a readathon this month and it’s the creator’s favourite book, it’s time to read it. Also, this book has 45 chapters (and an epilogue, but it doesn’t count) and 9×5=45.

Book 4
God: Persephone
Prompt: Read a book with a spring element
Pick: A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair (publisher: Herself)
Why: I couldn’t choose another book for this card as the main characters of this book are Hades and … Persephone, and it has flowers on it.

Book 5
God: Hera
Prompt: Read a book from a bookclub
Pick: Winter’s Orbit by Everina Maxwell (Publisher: Tor Books)
Why: This book is from the book club Sorcery and Stardust. It’s a Sci-fi book, but I am so attracted to it. Just the cover, please!

Book 6
God: Hephaestus
Prompt: Read a book with fire on the cover/in the title
Pick: The House of Hades by Rick Riordan (publisher: Puffin)
Why: Nearly the end of this series, I cannot wait for it, mainly because of the end of the previous book.
Those are the six books that I will read in June for my Olympus TBR, which equal 2,700 pages.
WHATEVER-YOU-WANT-A-THON
This readathon is a competitive one. You have five teams, you earn points for reading a book, and you evolve from a mortal to a deity. It’s an excellent way to challenge yourself! I am part of the green team, Dreams and Drama Queen, and my captains are Maddie (@bookbrowsing) and Ashleigh (@frolic_fiction.)
So for the readathon, I pledge to read a total of eight books. Each book will be 100 points, and if I read more than my goal, all the books over eight will be 200 points. Also, I can earn points if the book is LGBTQ+ (100 pts) or host fave (50 pts) or team genre (25 pts), which is low fantasy, whimsical, etc. and to fulfil a prompt it’s 25 points.
There is a rule for the prompts you can’t associate more than three prompts by books; however, you can use the prompt multiple time. I decided to double up the prompt to make it easier, so one book for two prompts. Only one book will correspond to three prompts as two books will be used once and because we have an odd number of prompts. Nevertheless, I still have the choice to add more prompts to each book.
Here the list of the prompts:
- 1/ Cover reminds you of a Pride flag
- 2/ Reread a comfort read
- 3/ 5 stars prediction
- 4/ Author’s Debut
- 5/ Out of your comfort zone
- 6/ Hauled in the past year
- 7/ Indie/self-pub
- 8/ POC representation
- 9/ Poll
- 10/ Fit a TBR game prompt
- 11/ Buddy read
- 12/ Disability/ MH representation
- 13/ Bookish creator’s fave list
- 14/ Cover features team colour
- 15/ Title last letter previous book = title first letter following book

So for June, I have a total of eight books which means 3,349 pages. To help me complete this TBR and readathon, I will participate in all of the reading sprints available on Youtube. Also, I am in a reading mood which will help too. We will see, but I have hope that I can succeed!
Don’t hesitate to share the books that you want to read this month or give your thoughts about these books if you have already read them. And do you participate in Whatever-You-Want-A-Thon?
Liz.
