May Olympus TBR

The last two months, I struggle a little with my TBR, so for May, I will only read six books and see how everything works. Back to the basics!

Book 1

God: Artemis

Prompt: Read a book featuring an animal (real or imaginated)

Pick: You Lucky Dog by Julia London (publisher: Berkley)

Why: I wanted to read this book for a long time, and this prompt is the best for this book.

Book 2

Monster: Homeric Cyclope

Prompt: Read a book that everyone love

Pick: Heartstopper Volume 4 by Alice Oseman (publisher: Hodder Children’s Books)

Why: I don’t have this book. I should receive it when it is released; I pre-order it last month. If I can’t read it, I will choose another book.

Book 3

God: Demeter

Prompt: Read a book from a finished series

Pick: The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan (publisher: Puffin)

Why: The third book of the series, I cannot wait to read it. However, I would like to know who decides to put Arachne on the cover (I am arachnophobic, the struggle!)

Book 4

God: Hades

Prompt: Read a book with a hidden cover

Pick: Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley (publisher: Henry, Holt and Co.)

Why: This book was already on my TBR last month, but I didn’t finish it yet.

Book 5

God: Hestia

Prompt: Read a book you think will be uplifting or comforting

Pick: You and Me on Vacation by Emily Henry (Publisher: Penguin UK)

Why: This is the second book that I didn’t finish last month, so here it is back to the TBR.

Book 6

God: Hephaestus

Prompt: Read a book based on its cover

Pick: Shadowblack by Sebastien De Castell (publisher: Hot Key Books)

Why: This book is the second in the Spellslinger series. I decide to read them every two months.

Those are the six books that I will read for May, which equal 2,221 pages. To help me complete this TBR, I will participate in DoTheThingAThon (video announcement here) hosted by A Frolic Through Fiction. I hope I can also read to ARC before the end of May. We will see, but I have hope that I can succeed!

Don’t hesitate to share the books that you want to read this month or give your thoughts about these books if you have already read them.

Liz.
