For this month of March, I pick six books based on my TBR game (if you want to know more about my TBR, click here.) As I used my bonus card during the month of February, I don’t have any for this month. I also add two books in my TBR as I am doing The Trope-ical Readathon, and I need to read them (If you want information about the readathon, click here.) If one book correspond to a prompt of the readathon I will say it.
For the Trope-ical readathon, I choose the Contemporary/Historical/Literary fiction team.
OLYMPUS TBR

Book 1
God: Ares
Prompt: Read a historical fiction sets in WWI and WWII
Pick: The Words I Never Wrote by Jane Thynne (publisher: Ballantine Books)
Why: This book correspond to one of my team challenge which is “read a book featuring a historical figure”.

Book 2
God: Artemis
Prompt: Read a book with an arrow
Pick: King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo (publisher: Orion)
Why: This book was on my February TBR as I wanted to read it before the release of the second book in this duology, but I didn’t realised that the release date was at the end of March. Now I am going to read it at the end of March to read the second right after.

Book 3
God: Dionysus
Prompt: Read a book adapted as a movie, TV series or play.
Pick: The Hate U Give (THUG) by Angie Thomas (publisher: Walker Books)
Why: I bought this book for my sister for Christmas, but as I never read it and I didn’t give her gifts yet, I decided to read it now. This book will be for a common challenge: “Coming-of-Age”.

Book 4
God: Hera
Prompt: Read a book about family
Pick: St. Francis Society for Wayward Pets by Annie England Noblin (publisher: William Morrow)
Why: I saw this book a long time ago and as I have it and complete one of the common challenge (“Small Town”), I needed to read it.

Book 5
God: Minotaur
Prompt: read a book with a character who fight against something
Pick: The Divines by Ellie Eaton (Publisher: William Morrow)
Why: There is something which is captivating me, but I am afraid to read it at the same time. This will be for the common challenge: “Boarding School”.

Book 6
God: Zeus
Prompt: Read a book with a meteorological element in the title or on the cover
Pick: The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan (publisher: Puffin)
Why: It’s the second series after Percy Jackson, so it’s the logical thing to do that read this book as I finished Percy. This book will be for the common challenge: “Absent/Dead Parents”.
EXTRA

Pick: Fat Chance, Charlie Vega by Crystal Maldonado (publisher: Holiday House)
Why: This book is the Team Book for the readathon, and just this book is stunning and the synopsis looks promising.

Pick: Much Ado About You by Samantha Young (publisher: Berkley)
Why: I am going to read this book for one of the team challenge which is “Read a book with a bookish theme”.
Those are the eight books that I will read for March. I am happy for this and I cannot wait to start. All these books make a total of 3,249 pages which is more than for the previous months, we will see if it will be a success or not.
Don’t hesitate to share the books that you want to read this month or give your thoughts about these books if you have already read them.
Liz.
