Summary
MOST PEOPLE GET PRESENTS ON THEIR SIXTEENTH BIRTHDAY. I GET A PROPHECY THAT COULD SAVE OR DESTROY THE WORLD.
It happens when you’re the son of Poseidon, god of the sea. According to an ancient prophecy, I turn sixteen and the fate of the entire world is on me. But no pressure.
Now Kronos, Lord of the Titans, is beginning his attack on New York City. And the dreaded monster Typhon is also heading our way. So it’s me and forty of my demigod friends versus untold evil . . .

Review
This book was on my reading list as I am doing a re-read of the whole series of Percy Jackson to continue with the Heroes of Olympus series, but I wasn’t prepared to read this one the same month as the previous one. I couldn’t wait to read it!
I think this one is one of my favourite of the series.
It’s fast-paced as it’s the last battle, and you know the timing from the beginning, even if sometimes you forget about it as you don’t always have a reminder.
You have many revelations, and the ending is satisfying as everything unravel clearly and logically. This ending makes me cry once again.
The element that changes the most and that I like a lot is that the gods are more human in this book. It’s like they realised the impact the war can have on them (even if it takes a long time to understand for some of them.)
Now that I have finished with this re-read, I can start with the Heroes of Olympus.
Liz.
