Febrary Olympus TBR

For this month of February I pick eight books based on my TBR game (if you want to know more about my TBR, click here.) Also, I have a bonus card that I didn’t used yet as last month I won against a monster.

Book 1

God: Hephaestus

Prompt: Read a hardcover

Pick: The Authenticity Project by Clare Pooley (publisher: Bantam Press)

Why: I just want to read something uplifting for this month of Febrary

Book 2

God: Artemis

Prompt: Read a book with a 2 words title

Pick: Chasing Lucky by Jenn Bennett (publisher: Simon Pulse)

Why: I don’t have a ton of books with a 2 words title so I was feeling more attract by this one.

Book 3

God: Half-God

Prompt: Pick a book in the title box

Pick: Hood Feminism by Mikki Kendall (publisher: Bloomsbury Publishing)

Why: I didn’t have any choice but as I wanted to read it this year, it’s great that I pick it up.

Book 4

God: Hera

Prompt: Read a book with a strong woman as a protagonist

Pick: Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert (publisher: Piatkus Books)

Why: I wanted to read this book as the next (and last) of the series is released next month.

Book 5

God: Poseidon

Prompt: read a book with a character who has an ability link to water

Pick: Percy Jackson and the Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan (Publisher: Puffin)

Why: I want to re-read all the book, so I just need to read it, and (again) I found it extremely funny to choose Percy Jackson for Poseidon

Book 6

God: Apollo

Prompt: read a book with gold element

Pick: King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo (publisher: Orion)

Why: First, this cover is the best to complete this prompt as it’s entirely gold, second I continue my travel in the Grishaverse, third the sequel is coming in March, so it’s the best time to read it.

Book 7

God: Dionysus

Prompt: read a retelling

Pick: North Mythology by Neil Gaiman (publisher: Bloomsbury Publishing)

Why: I am not sure for this one but I don’t have a lot of retelling and I don’t want to read based on Wonder Woman, and it’s the oldest book on my shelves, so …

Book 8

God: Start

Prompt: choose any book

Pick: The Queen’s Gambit by Walter Tavis (publisher: Weidenfeld & Nicolson)

Why: I wanted to watch it on Netflix (my mom loved it) but when I saw that it was a book I decide to read it before watching it.

Those are the eight books that I will read for February. I am happy for this and I cannot wait to start. However, there is one book that I am not sure of so if I don’t like it, I will use my bonus card which is read any book you want, I just hope to not have to use it or I don’t have to DNF any books. All these books make a total of 2,842 pages.

Don’t hesitate to share the books that you want to read this month or give your thoughts about these books if you have already read them.

Liz.
