Review
I liked the re-read of this book.
In this book, a lot of myths are explained as Annabeth and Percy meet them. I like how they impact on the lives of everyone in the book even for the mundane world.
I like that we learn more about how the security of the camp is essential. The campers act more like adults than the adults in this book; it’s at the same time exasperating and expected (reminder: it’s Mister D who supervised everything.)
You discover a new character, Tyson. I liked him a lot. Also, he is essential as he helps Annabeth to evolve and fights some of her prejudice.
This book is shorter than the first one, but a lot happens at a fast pace.
I cannot wait to continue.
Liz.
