Twenty eight book of 2020

Reading period: Apr 06th 2020 – Apr 11th 2020

Summary

Following an accident with the rubber ball of her dog in the stairs, Emily Arundell doesn’t believe of the accusations against her terrier, Bob and she is convinced that it is one of her family member who tries to kill her.

She decides to send a letter to Hercule Poirot on the April 17th, but he only received it on the June 28th. By that time, she is already dead.

This book is for the O.W.L.s readathon, it stands for the Astronomy exam where I needed to read a majority of the book when it’s dark outside.

Review

I read this book during the mystery and thriller week.

Nothing is better than reading a detective story, especially an Agatha Christie’s one.

I love this story as you have a dog, and like in any of her story everyone can be the culprit. I love to make some hypothesis on why and who is the murderer.

For this one, I knew the who and the why as I watched it a hundred times on TV. Nevertheless, the story is so different, and you understand so much more with the book. It’s so complete that it much better to read it than watch it.

Liz.
