Twenty sixth book of 2020
Reading period: Apr 02nd 2020 – Apr 07th 2020
Summary
Henry “Monty” Montague was born and bred to be a gentleman, but he was never one to be tamed. After being fired of the finest boarding schools in England, he embarks on his Grand Tour of Europe before working with his father as the good gentleman he should be.
His companions for this Tour is his younger sister, Felicity, and Percy, his best friend and long-secret crush. He vows to make this yearlong escapade one last hedonistic hurrah and flirt.
But when one of Monty’s reckless decisions turns their trip abroad into a harrowing manhunt that spans across Europe, it calls into question everything he knows, including his relationship with the boy he adores.
This book is for the O.W.L.s readathon, it stands for the Ancient Runes exam where I needed to read a book which has a heart on the cover or in the title.

Review
Unfortunately, it wasn’t a book for me; I nearly DNF it.
In the beginning, I couldn’t stand Henry. He is just an immature and selfish person; even if his behaviour changes because he understands more while the story advance, he irritated me. I prefer so much more Felicity and Percy.
I only like to start the story when I was about 180 pages in. It starts to talk about conspiracy, and I love this kind of story. However, my interest sets back where it was as I didn’t feel like it was as much important than I wanted to. Even the romance wasn’t exciting for me; I can say that they are stupidly in love with each other and for some reasons they can speak clearly to each other but it was, for me, kind of annoying.
I know that it is a series, but I will not continue to read it.
Liz.
