week 1 of my O.W.L.s readathon

As I decide to be a librarian, I need to pass five exams: Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, D.A.D.A., History of Magic and Transfiguration. Those assignments are my top priority. Nevertheless, there are seven other subjects that I will try to master.

I already have read two books, and I am currently reading three books.

The first book I read was Nimona by Noelle Stevenson. It’s a fantasy graphic novel about a shapeshifter. I gave it a rating of 5/5 and was for the Transfiguration class.

The second book I read was The Miserable Mill by Lemony Snicket. This book is the fourth instalment of the Series of Unfortunate Events by the same author. I gave it a 5/5 and was for the Herbology class. Even if this not my priority in the O.W.L.s I am happy to listen to this series.

For the books, I am currently reading; they are quite chunky so it will take me a little longer to read than for the previous one.

The first is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling. It’s the fifth instalment, and I am at 38% of the book (History of Magic).

The second is The Gentleman’s Guide of Vice and Virtue by MacKenzi Lee. I am at 63% of the book, and I was kind of struggling at the beginning (Ancient Runes).

The third one is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I just started it, and it’s a classic, which is a genre that I never read. I am at 9% of the book (Arithmancy).

I am happy for now with my progression. I can’t wait to continue and to know what I achieve at the end of the month.

Liz.
